 Born in Salvador, in 1816 (*).
Pasted the degree of Doctor of Medicine, Faculty of Medicine of Bahia, in 1839.
It was his classmate, Malachi Alves dos Santos, who became also professor at the School.
In 1846, lens replacement would be by tender, Section of Medical Sciences. In 1855, he spent the lens of Pharmacy and remained so until 1868.
In 1839, he was Librarian of the College and in 1866 drafted the Historical Memory of the traditional home of education.
Professor Antonio José Osório de Oliveira Sá says, "has, at all times, unambiguous statements of lively intelligence, love and dedication to medical profession.
He died in 1868.
