Before being installed the service of Emergency in Salvador, Julio was David who stood at the ready in your home, available to all who need an urgent care.
Eutíquio Maia, praying the prayer of farewell to the graveside of Julius David, said in a poignant prayer: "In the performance of their art, in the priesthood of his medicine, any call, whether day or night, could not answer with the no. It was a pleasure to see him, for all streets and alleys, hurried, grasping, sweaty, having regard to any call, never mind the position of the individual and not so little cash in their conditions. Unselfishly, there went he, diligently and eagerly, without measuring the reward, just drifting in the interest of alleviating the suffering of those who needed the help of science, which he so fervently embraced affectionately and distribute them "(ibid.).
The case of Julius David was always open to protect the poor and destitute, who received the great physician and philanthropist, at any time, clinical examination, diagnosis, prescription and money for avian it.
"Julius Divid was erected by the priest that the high altar of medicine - its sacred temple - the Itapagipe Peninsula, where he was born, lived and died poor" (Sá Menezes, work cited).
