flowers in vivid colors
on the cold tomb
ELEGY
Decant, decant
the corner, until the surprise exit
and be the charm

TRANQUILITY
Rice in bowl
Calm down, faith, love in full soul
Flowers in the window

Gilberto says Felicissimo, poet, essayist and researcher: "In haiku Gil Nunesmaia nothing is too much, faked or arranged, nothing is forced. Each verse is the open formula of moments when he is presented with the soul in grace every fragment of his poetry. "
And: "Gil Nunesmaia despite having published many haiku magazines and supplements in the culture, and have participated in several anthologies, only in 1978, at 65, through Grapiúna Book Club, came to publish his" Range ", a book that is divided into two parts:" Hai-Kais "and" Poems, "the latter consisting only of free verse. Below the poem The culprit:

The wind broke
that dried the clothes.
- You see, Mom, who rips?

As is clear, and Gil Nunesmaia Oldegar Vieira were among the first to publish haiku poets in Brazil, the second of which came to occupy a chair at the Academia de Letras da Bahia. They were pioneers of both poetry and varied little in shape, preferring to remain true to the canon as the metric, but without the use of rhymes, in the case of Nunesmaia Gil, who gave us moments of pure lyricism, as in Table Scrapped :

The poor ducks
came undone at the moon
the bottom of the lake. "

Gil Nunesmaia Itabuna died in the eighties.
