Born in Pojuca, Ontario, on March 15, 1907, and his parents Irênio Lourença Alves Pinheiro and Sampaio.
Medicine degree from the Faculty of Medicine of Bahia, in December 1930.
Then held in Rio de Janeiro, two courses of Hospital Organization.
Returning to Bahia, organized the Psychiatric Hospital of Vitoria da Conquista, and later was Director of the Hospital Saint Vincent and the founder-president of the Brazilian Legion of Assistance (LBA).
Since 1945, he devoted himself to political party activities and was elected State legislatures in four consecutive (1951 to 1963).
He held several key positions at the state level, is Leader of the Government Secretary and Chairman of the Legislative Assembly and Secretary of the Treasury.
He died on October 19, 1963.
