JULIO SERGIO PALMA

Born in Santo Amaro da Purificaçãom in 1852 and pasted the degree of Doctor of Medicine, Faculty of Medicine of Bahia, on 18 December 1880.
He began his professional career as an Army doctor and remained so from 1881 to 1885.
He won with great effort, brilliant teaching career: Trainer by tender of Histology (885), Substitute Professor of 2nd Section (1907), Professor exdrasordinário effective Anatomy and Histology, Pathological (1911) and Professor ordinary Anatomy Microscopic (1912 to 1914 ).
In high school, he was Professor of Commercial School Gymnasium and San Salvador.
His doctoral thesis expounded on the advantages of cremation and the contest for the 2nd Substitute Teacher Section was on the theories of cellular pathology.
Sá Oliveira says that "Dr. Palma was modest, however, prove to be a valuable teacher, eloquent and observant of their duties" (op. cit.)
