JOSÉ JULIO CALAZANS
FACULTY OF MEDICINE OF BAHIA,
NINETEENTH CENTURY

 Born in Maragogipe, Bahia, in 1862.
Having completed the preparatory studies, he joined the Faculty of Medicine of Bahia in 1980, she received the degree of Doctor of Medicine, 188 chance in which he defended a thesis on "Ammonia compounds.
In 1890, he was named Trainer of Materia Medica and Therapeutics. From 1904 to 1911, was the 7th Replacement Lens Section.
In the period 1905 to 1911 he was Professor of Industrial Chemistry of the Commercial School of Bahia, which was one of the founders, Administrative Secretary and Director.
Joined the Board of Education and Health Council of Bahia.
He died in 1911, earning a Oliveira Sá, this compliment: "Modesto, hardworking, fair and good was Dr. Julius Joseph Calabretta, who was gifted, also of considerable intelligence and a strong culture of care" (op. cit.)
