Born: March 19, 1917, in Mill's Victory Paraguaçu in the town of Cachoeira, Bahia, and her parents Dr. Francisco Moniz Barreto de Aragão Jr. and Amalia Miranda Moniz de Aragao.
Conducted the first studies in Victoria Mill itself, under the enlightened guidance of tutor. Then he joined the College Antonio Vieira in Salvador, where he completed the the 5 th grade high school in 1933.
At age 16, joined the Faculty of Medicine of Bahia, for which he is a graduate in 1940.
Graduate, spent a year in São Paulo, specializing in Malaria, the National Department of Public Health, becoming renowned Malariology.
It occupies the post of Chief of Sub-Sector South of that Department, Bahia, based in Ilheus. Then, the accumulated charge with the Head of the Sub-Sector East San Francisco.
Then he held successively the heads of jurisdictions of
Ceará, Maranhão, Sergipe, Espirito Santo and Bahia.
In high positions he held, gave combat Chagas disease, hookworm, the Leishmaniasis, schistosomiasis and malaria.
He participated in numerous events in the sector of Public Health, where he presented works of recognized importance, such as the "Contribution to the Knowledge of Geographic Distribution of Domiciliáriose triatomid bugs and their infection rates by T. cruzi in the State of Ahia.
Received many honors and awards in Brazil and abroad.
In 1958 he was appointed to a Scholarship from the World Health Organization to comment on Malaria in Mexico, El Salvador and Venezuela.
Belonged to several scientific institutions and cultures, including the Genealogical Institute of Bahia, where he joined in September 19, 1972.
