MAIN ENTRANCE OF THE FACULTY OF MEDICINE OF BAHIA

Born in Santo Amaro City.
He joined the Faculty of Medicine of Bahia, in 1852. Diploma, the same college in 1857, when he claimed the inaugural thesis on "Assessment of hemostatic surgical means"
They were classmates: Braulio Pereira da Silva Xavier, José Luiz de Almeida Couto and Pedro Ribeiro de Araujo. Braulio Xavier da Silva Pereira was Secretary of the Interior, Justice and Public Education of Bahia (1891). José Luiz de Almeida Couto was a professor at the College and was Chairman of the provinces of Bahia and São Paulo and memoirist, 1889. Pedro Ribeiro de Araujo was also professor and memoirist (1875) School (2).
Opposed by tender of the Surgical Section, in 1860. Descriptive Anatomy of Lens in 1876.
Retired in 1882, received many honors, among which we highlight the Knight of the Order of the Rose.
He died in 1903.
